Full description: 

Starting from Brockholes station we follow paths through woodland and by the River Holme to the town of Holmfirth where we will stop briefly. We then continue across the Holme Valley countryside and past Digley Reservoir before crossing Wessenden Moor and several more reservoirs before dropping down into Marsden to catch the train home.

Public transport or car sharing options: 

Outbound train from Sheffield at 09.35 arrives Brockholes at 10.38.
Return journey is hourly with a change at Huddersfield. The 17.38 gets back to Sheffield at 19.28. This train stops at Brockholes at 18.23 for anybody driving and wanting to leave their car near the station.
From Sheffield, suggested ticket is a return from Sheffield to Marsden and don't use it for full journey on the way out (£13.80).
