Full description:

Crossing the Derwent at Bamford Mill, this walk leads to Ladybower Reservoire where we will cross over and walk up Bamford Edge for some (weather permitting) beautiful views. Currently we are looking at temperatures of around 20 degrees with a slight chance of rain so be sure to bring appropriate clothing and waterproofs. Walking boots would be preferred as it is quite uneven, rocky ground at the top. We will stop for lunch if the weather holds off at the top but if not there is a local pub on route that we can visit before heading back down to the train station.

Please not that this will be a fast-paced walk (requiring a good level of fitness) and potentially a muddy or boggy walk (requiring sturdy walking boots)

Public transport or car sharing options:

10:14 train from Sheffield to Bamford arriving at 10:35.
14:40 return train from Bamford to Sheffield. Trains are hourly after this.
There is also free parking at the train station for those coming via car.
