Walk Description: We start at Timber Lane carpark and walk along flat footpaths towards Stainsby. About halfway round is Hardwick Hall, which was used as Malfoy Manor in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Parts 1 and 2). The scenes filmed here starred Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter, Jason Isaacs, Tom Felton, as well as Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. We can stop for the tour of Hardwick Hall, built in 1597 by Robert Smythson who was a very famous architect of his time. I will try to get a group discount for us. There is also a café, where we will have lunch. You can either bring a packed lunch or you can order from the café. On the way back we walk through Astwith, making our return to Timber Lane carpark.

Public Transport: No public transport option. If you need a lift, please post in the meet up comments.

Parking: Park for free in Timber Lane carpark on the Five Pits Trail (S45 8AL).

Be prepared:
Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year. A waterproof is always advised, as well as plenty of food and water.
