A linear walk from the outskirts of Sheffield to the ever popular village of Bakewell.
The route begins by crossing Totley Moor, passing through Longshaw Estate and descending the scenic Padley Gorge. From Grindleford we'll follow the river to Calver before turning southwest to Rowland. From here it's due south into Bakewell. The walk finishes on the edge of Bakewell at the river, where there is an option to visit the Thornbridge tap room for drinks and pizza. Buses back to Sheffield via Totley are available on the main road.
Public transport or car sharing options:
Bus 218 from Sheffield Interchange at 09:47 or 97 from Arundel Gate at 09:52 arrive in time for the walk start. We will wait for these to arrive before setting off.
