Full description:

This walk will very loosely follow the first half of the route for the Edale Skyline Challenge, but adds in some nice detours, such as the summit of Kinder Scout. We will start and finish in Edale, which has a nice pub and a handful of cafes if in need of some supplies for the day. Then a lovely walk with some great views throughout. The elevation will be quite short and sharp but we wont be racing up it, though there will be some time pressures for getting back as the trains are so infrequent. There will be no shops or facilities on the walk. Dogs encouraged though we will be on moorland with ground nesting birds and occasionally sheep.

Public transport or car sharing options:

The timings for the route are planned around the first train from Sheffield to Edale, which we recommend as it is considerably faster than the drive. There is a large central pay and display carpark in Edale that can get competitive for a space though there is a good fallback option here https://maps.app.goo.gl/2dcRcdkemfW3Kpts8 that takes cash (£5?) for a days parking.
