Full description:

We'll start off going up into Ecclesall Woods, following the Whirlow Brook towards the Norfolk Arms. From there, we cross through Lady Cannings Plantation, over the moors and through Strawberry Lee Plantation. On the way back towards Totley, we walk along the Old Hay Brook. To make it back to the bus stop, the route takes us through Poynton Wood, Ladies Spring Wood and Millhouses Park.

Being on the edge of Sheffield, this walk combines green spaces with walking through residential areas, crossing some roads along the way. It follows parts of the Sheffield Round Walk. Though the route is located on the edge of the city, there are a few climbs, but nothing too crazy. The pace will definitely be moderate and not leisurely (don't worry, we'll not leave anyone behind!). Don't forget to bring something to eat, as we'll likely stop for lunch somewhere.

Public transport or car sharing options:

Please use public transport or cycle/walk to the start if able. You can take bus 97 and 98 from the city centre to the Abbeydale Rd/Dobcroft Av bus stop.
