Our next book club choice is a lesser known but intriguing novel: Crossings is written in 3 parts, spanning 150 years and 7 lifetimes and is designed to be read in 2 different directions. Much like a circular walk you could say.. although even Jonathan has yet to lead a walk that spans 7 lifetimes.
This book is a little harder to get hold of than some of our previous reads. Sadly it is not available at any of the Sheffield libraries. Here are some ways you can get hold of it:
1. Buy it online. I managed to get a 2nd hand copy on ebay for about £6
2. Listen to the audiobook. I would of course never suggest that you make a new email account to get a free audible trial...
3. Borrow it from other members of the group! We already have 2 copies in circulation so don't be afraid to ask in the meetup page or in the WhatsApp group https://chat.whatsapp.com/JacVYllKoJO1pttJIM4Ua8
For anyone new to the book club, we go to the pub and have an informal chat about the book and any other interesting questions that it raises. If we get a lot of people, we might split into smaller groups of 3 or 4 and then mix it up halfway through.
