Full description:
Crossing the Derwent and Bamford Mill, this walk joins a former industrial railway track to reach the mighty Ladybower Reservoir. Rise along superb woodland paths to reach Bamford Edge with stunning views, before we follow it back down to Bamford Train Station. There is potential for a pub stop along the way at The Yorkshire Bridge Inn but that will be dependent on time and the preference of the group.
Public transport or car sharing options:
There is a direct train that runs from Sheffield Train Station to Bamford Train Station. To arrive on time for the walk, you would need to get the 9:14 train from Sheffield heading towards Manchester Piccadilly. You should arrive in Bamford at 9:35.
If you choose to drive there is a car park at Bamford Train Station (in which case, please arrange lift shares in the Meetup comments).
