Full description:

An autumn stroll through the Chatsworth estate where we’ll hunt for toadstools (not for eating, I am no expert) and all things autumnal, and hopefully find some nice crunchy leaves (weather permitting) which are hopefully not *all* brown.

We start by walking along the river from Baslow to Beeley, then up to Hell Bank Plantation and over the moor. If the group is interested, we can go to the stone circle before we head to the woods up behind Chatsworth house and along to Dobb Edge. From there we’ll head back down to Baslow and to the pub!

Please bring lunch with you - we’ll find a nice place to stop for a picnic.

Public transport or car sharing options:

Take the 218 bus that leaves the Sheffield Interchange at 9:40 to arrive in Baslow for 10:20. If you are driving, please offer lifts in the comments on Meetup.
