Full description: Hathersage is well known for being close to Stanage Edge and Higger Tor, but it is also surrounded by beautiful woods, streams and the River Derwent. This route starts in Hathersage before an ascent on well made trails to Abney, then over Offerton Moor to Offerton Edge which has amazing views of Hathersage, Bamford and Ladybower reservoir. We then descend, heading to the stepping stones on the River Derwent before heading back to Hathersage for refreshments at one of the local pubs.
Public transport or car sharing options: The 272 bus service leaves the bus interchange at 10.05 and reaches Hathersage at 10.45am.

Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year. A waterproof is always advised, as well as plenty of food and water. Please bring sun protection if required (sun hat, sunglasses, sun cream, etc).
