Full description:

A little evening post-work wander along the river from Bamford to Grindleford, all with very few hills. Perfect if you’ve spent your day cooped up in an office like me. Bring a picnic for dinner and we’ll find somewhere nice to stop because the weather is looking in our favour ☀️

Pub at the end, of course, and you might even be at home in bed before 10.

Public transport or car sharing options:

18:14 train from Sheffield gets to Bamford for 18:35.

If you’re driving, a sensible option would be to park in Grindleford and get on the train from there to Bamford. The above train leaves Grindleford at 18:28.

Trains from Grindleford to Sheffield for the way back leave at 20:52 and 21:52.

Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year. A waterproof is always advised, as well as plenty of food for your dinner and water.
