Full description: We will start by heading up Cave Dale towards Peak Forest, passing Peveril castle. We can stop at the Devonshire Arms for a drink, hopefully it will be warm enough to sit in the beer garden. There is a little more ascent that will give us a great view of Edale and beyond and then it’s all downhill back to Castleton.
Public transport or car sharing options: Public Transport: For those catching public transport, the 272 bus leaves Sheffield Interchange Station D2 at 9.45am and arrives in Castleton at 10.54am. Please check the bus times yourself, as they can change.
Drivers: You can park in Castleton’s Visitor Centre or there are other parking options nearby. Please car share where possible.
Be prepared: Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year. A waterproof is always advised, as well as plenty of food and water. Please bring sun protection if required (sun hat, sunglasses, sun cream, etc).
