Weekend Away: St Davids (Pembrokeshire)

  • Caerhafod Lodge Haverfordwest, Wales, SA62 5BD United Kingdom (map)

We’re making the most of the late August bank holiday with a 4-night stay in Pembrokeshire. The group has stayed at the bunkhouse before some years ago, so it’s about time we return to this beautiful coastal area.

  • Booking opens: Monday 6th July

  • Price: TBD

  • Places available: 23

You can expect beaches, old chapels, dramatic cliffs and even a local blue lagoon. Part of the Wales Coast Path is within a 10-minute reach from the bunkhouse and runs in both directions. There are many panoramic viewpoints along the coast that are worth walking to. The area is relatively flat, especially further inland, so this weekend will mostly be about enjoying stunning views out towards the sea. A possible daytrip in the area could include an outing to Ramsey Island with the RSPB.

Weekends Away are only open to Ramblers members. You will need to arrange your own transport, although the group will try to put people in touch to arrange lift shares. The nearest train station is Fishguard, but it will be a very long journey trying to get there by public transport.

We have exclusive use of main building of the bunkhouse from Thursday night. You are welcome to make your way over either on Thursday or Friday. The finish time will depend on how long any walks on Monday take before returning home.
