Full description:
A wander from Hathersage up to Stanage taking in a lesser known edge with great views, North Lees Hall (part of the inspiration for Jane Eyre) and woodlands around Hood Brook. While this walk is short, there is a decent amount of ascent and it will be steep in places.
We will be walking on a mixture of grass, rocky paths, tracks and minor roads with traffic, and as it is November it will definitely be muddy so footwear with a good tread is essential (and with ankle support recommended). This walk will be quite exposed so will be a good idea to bring plenty of warm and waterproof layers.
On return to Hathersage there are the usual options for refreshments.
