Full description:

Put away your Smartphones, GPS’s and Guided Walk Books and head off into the wilds with a Map and Compass! A chance to have a go at some compass navigation in the friendlier terrain of Chatsworth Park. No matter if you have never used a compass before or if you have trekked across Greenland in the fog, it will be a nice opportunity to have a go at some map and compass based exercises and challenges. I am not formally trained in teaching navigation but I enjoy it and am keen to practise and have a good chat about navigation. We will provide compasses and maps but if you have your own, feel free to bring them along. We won’t be moving very fast so wont warm up much from walking so please do wrap up warm with insulating, wind and waterproof layers. We always have the Pubs and Cafe in Baslow to retreat to afterwards!
