Full description: Described as “the most Miranda walk ever” featuring flowers, a picnic, some drawing and a pub at the end, all in an evening!
We’ll start at The Plough Inn and walk up alongside Highlow Brook through the trees and probable mud in Highlow Wood, up to Breton Clough where we’ll stop for our evening picnic and to draw some bluebells. Once we’ve had our fill, we’ll loop back through the bluebells and then back along the same path, straight to the pub.
Please make sure you bring:
- A picnic tea
- Something to sit on
- A head torch or torch in case it gets dark quickly
- Drawing materials if you want to draw (no pressure, it can be a lovely sketchbook or the back of an envelope!)
Public transport or car sharing options: Unfortunately this one is a pain on public transport - there are buses and trains to Hathersage which leave Sheffield at all the wrong times and we’d either not be done with work, or be walking in the dark. It’ll be car only one unless you’re like me and finish work at 4pm.
Please use the comments on Meetup to share lifts!
Be prepared:
Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year, with enough layers as it will get cooler as we are out. Please bring food and water. Further information on what to bring can be found on our website here:
