Full description: Starting at Dore & Totley station we will follow the Limb Brook Trail through Ecclesall Woods, visit Whinfell Quarry Gardens, and then up the Limb Brook Valley. From Ringinglow we will pass Lady Cannings Plantation and follow the Houndkirk Road byway before crossing Burbage Moor and dropping down to Burbage Brook. Next we will steeply ascend to Carl Wark hill fort (on Hathersage Moor). We will then head southeast to The Fox House pub, this time jumping (or fording) the Burbage Brook. We will return to Dore via Totley Moor and Blacka Moor, and a visit to the Dore Stone.

This walk will be undulating throughout including some steep climbs. Terrain will include woodland paths, gravel tracks and rocky sections, as well as boggy sections over the numerous moors. Sturdy walking boots are recommended. Please bring suitable layers and waterproof clothing depending on the weather, as well as food and drink. This will be a muddy or boggy walk (requiring sturdy walking boots)

This will be my final lead as a resident of Sheffield. Afterwards I am hosting a social on the terrace at The Dore Bar & Grill (they serve excellent cake and coffee, as well as a range of drinks). Please sign-up to this event separately in order to gauge numbers for the venue.
