Full description: The walk begins in Bakewell, following the first of two rivers as it winds toward the historic Haddon Hall. From there, the route continues to the charming hamlet of Alport, then traces the thrilling Lathkill Dale to the village of Over Haddon, before looping back to Bakewell.

Public transport or car sharing options: 

Bus 218 departs Sheffield interchange at 9:40 and arrives across the road from the start of the walk. Plenty of parking around Bakewell.
