Full description: We start by walking along the river don and then we ascend a hill that will lead us to Green Moor and Hunshelf Quarry. We then make our way through fields and woodlands to Thurgoland, before joining the Trans Pennine trail towards Wortley and then there’s a bit more woodland and river walking before we make our way back to Deepcar.

Public transport or car sharing options: Public Transport: There is a bus leaving Sheffield Interchange at 9.40am that will get you to Deepcar for 10.15am. Please get off at the bus stop to the left of the Royal Oak pub (S36 2QX). Please check the bus times yourself as they can change.

Parking: You can park on Station Road for free (S36 2UQ). Once parked go to the end of the road and turn left up Vaughton Hill and you will see the meeting point which is the bus stop to the left of the Royal Oak pub (S36 2QX).
