Let’s welcome summer with a visit to the seaside! We’re returning to Seahouses on the popular Northumberland coast, staying at Seahouses Hostel beside the North Sunderland village church.

The Northumberland Coast is always popular for coastal walking, or the Cheviot Hills are about 45 minutes’ drive away. Other activities in the area include boat rides to the Farne Islands (newly reopened after the recent avian flu outbreak) or nearby Bamburgh Castle.
Weekends away are only open to Ramblers members. You will need to arrange your own transport, although the group will try to put people in touch to arrange lift shares. The hostel is on a bus route, and buses usually connect with trains at Alnmouth & Berwick. The actual walks on offer depend on what walks leaders volunteer to run.
