Snowdonia Trip: 15th - 17th November
About 20 of the group went to Snowdonia in November: Whilst it was a hideously rainy weekend in Sheffield, in Snowdonia, the weather couldn't have been better: No rain, and fabulous sunshine on the Sunday.
People arrived at various times on the Friday, when we managed to have a good session in the Cwellyn Arms - who also operate the bunkhouse where we stayed: Central heating, hot showers, kitchen: Not exactly the harshness one might expect of such accomodation.
On the Saturday there were two walks - Snowdon being (no surprise here) the most popular, but with an alternative round the hills walk from Roger for those who'd been up Snowdon too many times before. Once again, after the walks the group strangely enough ended up in the pub...
After packing and loading cars on the Sunday, we all drove to Cym Idwal, with James champing at the bit to get up Tryfan, a walk not for the faint-hearted. With most of the group being faint-hearted, the majority remaining split between the 'Moderate' walk up Glyder Fawr, and the 'Gentle' low-level round-the-lake walk.
There's a selection of photos to see - if you don't like pictures of mountains and lakes then turn back now.
As you'll see, although there are generous quantities of photos to illustrate the Snowdon and Glyder Fawr walks, there are few or none for the other walks - if you have some to contribute, please do so - and even better if you can supply some narrative too!
