Public Transport Info
We try to offer walks reachable by public transport wherever possible, so please try to use it (save the planet etc.). Train or bus details are given where possible, but please also make use of services like Travel South Yorkshire (Tel. 01709 515151) to double check bus / train times as there may have been timetable changes.
Our most frequently used bus services to the Peaks are: 272 214, 215, 218 65
And train and tram: Hope Valley Line Supertram
Service changes on 30/10/2011 have affected some relevant services:
New service: 273 274 275 Hulleys of Baslow / TM Travel; Sheffield - Crosspool - Rivelin Dams - Bamford - Hope (273/274) - Castleton (273/274) - Eyam (275) - Bakewell (275) (replaces 51A, 241 and 242 services)
Some changes have also been made to the Bradfield Bus Service 61 / 62 which is now operated by TM Travel.

The latest day saver ticket valid on any bus company and the tram within Sheffield boundaries is the City Wide Ticket at an introductory price of £4.90.
For unlimited travel on buses and trams in South Yorkshire there's the Day Tripper ticket.
For unlimited Derbyshire Travel (bus and train) there's the Derbyshire Wayfarer ticket (includes direct journeys from Sheffield to Derbyshire and cheaper for 2 people)
By Car
However many walks can only be reached practically by car. Therefore please note the following arrangements for these walks:
We encourage all walkers to meet at the car park and time stated in the walk description in Sheffield city centre and to share lifts to the walk start. This is to ensure that those without cars can get along and also to try and reduce the number of vehicles going out to the walk start. Please remember to offer something to cover petrol and any car parking costs if you receive a lift.
Generally, Saturday walks tend to meet at the University Car Park, Durham Rd (free parking) and Sunday walks at Fitzwilliam Street car park (free on a Sunday). The following links are to Street maps of the different car park meeting points we may use:
