Transport Info
We try to offer walks reachable by public transport wherever possible - in which case, please try to use it (save the planet etc.). Train or bus details are given where possible, please also make use of services like Traveline (tel. 01709 515151) to check bus/train times.
However many walks can only be reached practically by car. Therefore please note the following arrangements for these walks:
On Sunday walks, all walkers are to meet at a car park in Sheffield city centre at a time stated next to each walk. Sunday walks now tend to meet in Fitzwilliam Street car park. This is to ensure that those without cars can get along and also to try and reduce the number of vehicles going. Some parking in Sheffield is free on a Sunday.
On Saturdays, we use other meeting points in Sheffield. The following links are to Streetmap maps of the meeting points:

- University car park, Durham Road (off Clarkson Street) - behind the Octagon
- Abbeydale Road (Tesco) Park and Ride, Abbeydale Road
- Crosspool Tavern, Manchester Road
- Owlerton Stadium
- Middlewood Park & Ride
- Meadowhall Park & Ride (the road entrance to the P&R is on Meadowhall Road just before the slip road on to the M1 at junction 34. Public transport users can find it just behind (i.e. north east) of the rail station). Drivers should follow signs for the rail station.

Please remember to offer something to cover petrol and any car parking costs if you receive a lift.
