Chair: Peter Clayton

As chair, Peter leads the committee, liaising with the local area ramblers, and giving the group its overall direction and purpose. The buck also stops with him, which means everybody else is quick to push all the nasty jobs on to him.

Vice Chair: Ruth Thomas

As vice chair Ruth assists Peter, has a hands-on role in many group activities and has particular responsibility for the programme of walks.

Treasurer: Jackie Liboji

The treasurer keeps our accounts in order to make sure the group can continue running both now and into the future.

Secretary: Megan Sims

Megan is the secretary, and as such is in charge of the group's records: minutes of our meetings, membership rolls and archives.

Publicity Officer: Alice Puritz and Edita Stiborova

Alice's and Edita's role might not be obvious to those of us long-established members, but many of our newbies will have been introduced to the group by the publicity officer's work - through press coverage, leafleting and special new members nights.

Social Secretary: Sian Butler-Walsh

Sian's role is very similar to two other people below, but they will all do things in different ways. She is quite a social person, and will look to arrange events that amuse her, should others want to join her, then great!! If not, then at least she tried...

Social Secretary: Barry Fitzgerald

Barry's been with the group since 2007. He stood for social secretary because he felt the committee needed more middle aged blokes. The AGM agreed and he got voted on. Funny thing democracy. His interests apart from walking are real ale and cinema. He is the same age as George Clooney but rarely mistaken for George as George doesn't go walking in The Peak District.

Social Secretary: Chris Batey

Chris is also available to contact about Socials and is also very sociable.

Website Coordinator: Peter Copeland

Peter tries to keep the website vaguely in-date, while blaming any problems on the last guy who made the mess of it in the first place.

On the other hand, the last guy was Vince and he set everything up so we also need to thank him for everything too!
