Chair: Ben Arnold

As chair, Ben leads the committee, liaising with the local area ramblers, and giving the group its overall direction and purpose. The buck also stops with him, which means everybody else is quick to push all the nasty jobs on to him.

Vice Chair: Mark Hodgkinson

As vice chair Mark assists Ben, has a hands-on role in many group activities and has particular responsibility for the programme of walks.

Treasurer: Chris Bannister

The treasurer keeps our accounts in order to make sure the group can continue running both now and into the future.

Secretary: Julia Evison

Julia is the secretary, and as such is in charge of the group's records: minutes of our meetings, membership rolls and archives.

Publicity Officer: Jon Holman

Jon's role might not be obvious to those of us long-established members, but many of our newbies will have been introduced to the group by Jon - through press coverage, leafletting and special new members nights. This doesn't seem to put them off, thankfully.

Social Secretary: Fi Levitt

An experienced organiser in her second year on the committee, Fi is one of our social event organisers ensuring we have entertainments for everybody.

Social Secretary: Verena Meyer

Joining Fi on the socials team is Verena, who promises to plan a fun-filled year of germanic socials - fortunately germanic socials involve drinking lots of beer as well, so they should fit right in.

Website Coordinator: Vince Bowdren

Vince tries to keep the website vaguely in-date, while blaming any problems on the last guy who made the mess of it in the first place. Unfortunately, the last guy was also Vince so that excuse is wearing thin.
